Translation Promotion

During this promotion we are looking to expand the audience of Trovesaurus to non English players. We know we have large communities around the world, special waves to Brasil :)

Task

Complete one of the following for entry into this promotion.

Dates

  • September 1, 2016 to September 15, 2016

Rewards

  • A Trove Pack will be rewarded for the best of each unique language submitted that has at least 50% of the entries unlocked
    • I will add an indicator to display the percentage shortly
  • 3 additional Trove Packs will be rewarded for random people who have offered feedback on an individual Language Pack, using its own comment page, or this comment page.

Note: Rewards may scale based on involvement

  • A part of the site isn't translated! - let me know which page, and perhaps a screenshot of the area or text involved, and we can hook it up
    • right now there is only limited support added, and will expand as the promotion progresses
  • I've created pack, how do I apply it? There is a new option on your profiles.

Ironing out some of the details, it might even get sorted tonight. Due to the large amount of translations promoted and my silent limit of 10 packs per giveaway it won't be "every top language pack per language", just the top 7 packs that users are using, updated the site languages page to provide more information on that.

I am working on something else right now, I will get to processing the winners and entries when I can. Whether that is in 5 minutes, 2 hours, or 2 days. Having a notice on the site informs people that it can happen at any time from now.

Do i understand it right that you get 1 pack for each unique language so if i do 10 different languages and nobody else takes them i win 10 packs ?

The language ID is EN right now but I have created a Hindi translation. If someone speaks and reads Hindi please give your feedbacks to me!

You might want to think about changing the following construct: "Ends Time from now" into "Ends in Time". That's cleaner and should be way easier to translate. At least in German it sounds incredibly stupid if you try to stick to the "from now".

And if you can manage for the German pages you should change the order from: "Time ago" to "[German word for ago] Time". It's not as bad as the first issue, but still bad.

Good question, I might add some sort of rating, or see if I can find a friendly member of that community to judge.
