Finding mods on Trovesaurus

To search for mods, click on the mods menu option in the headerbar and after that, press [All mods].

This will show you all mods sort on upload date. To the right one can use the advanced search function to search for specific mods for subtypes, like mounts, costumes and others.

When you've found a mod you want, these can be downloaded right from the overview OR the mod page itself.

Extracting (if in the old .zip format)

Mods can generally come on two formats, the tmod file is ready-to-use, but the .zip file needs extracting (if not using a modloader). Windows can use this by default (right click the zip file, click extract here).

General file locations for .zip content or .tmods

These are the general locations, if you desire to install mods manually. If the override folders or mods folder do not exist, you do have to create them! You don't have to install both the .tmod version and the .zip version if both exist! (some modders like to upload both).

Locations Glyph : Live

Q&A

Q: I cannot find trove in either locations?
A: You might have picked another install location. Use the search function and search for "Trove.exe"

Q: How do I manually delete mods?
A1: Empty the contents of all the "override" folders. You may search for "*override" in Windows to easily track them down.
A2: If the mod is the .tmod format, remove the .tmod from the ../mods/-folder. 

Q: The author has published awesome vfx, but it wont show.
A: Make sure you've downloaded the latest file, this has to be done manually everytime the author makes an update.
